Lil Uzi Vert Says "Luv Is Rage 2" Will Grow On You

Lil Uzi Vert is clearly ahead of his time.

It's been a week since Lil Uzi Vert surprised us with his debut album Luv Is Rage
2. While it's arguably one of his most developed projects to date, it seems that the Philly rapper thinks that the album will grow on those who just aren't feelin' it. Lil Uzi took to social media this morning, tweeting out "It a grow on ya ... just like the first one did ® 2 #LuvIsRage2."
The tweet itself is vague and could mean a few things. Lil Uzi Vert bares no limits to his music and has consistently been pushing his own creative barriers with each project. However, it seems that among his core fans, Luv Is Rage 2 isn't held at the same standard as it's predecessor. While it seems he lives in his own little world, it's clear that he's been seeing what people have to say about the project.
When Uzi's Luv Is Rage dropped in 2015, it became a favorite among his core fans but also raised eyebrows by a few people as well. So there's a good chance while he had a vision behind the first one, the same should be said for the second. He even mentioned last week that the album was made to help the youth "learn how to format real songs."
So as he continues to experiment with the music he makes, it's clear that he's confident in what he puts out, as he should be. It's possible that it could also be a message to his core fans that may have hoped for more on the project. It could also simultaneously be a message to his haters. This album was built off of anticipation and hype for over a year, atleast. Typically, when things are built up for that long, the album either exceeds expectations or doesn't live up to it at all.
In all honesty, it doesn't even seem like its something that Uzi should pay any mind to. Luv Is Rage 2 has been receiving some very great reception critically and also slated to do well commercially. He has gone from a blossoming XXL Freshman to one of music's most riveting new figures.

Prosecutors allege rapper Young Thug led gang as trial begins and many details unfolded

Prosecutors in Atlanta said Monday that rapper Young Thug was the “proclaimed leader” of a gang that “moved like a pack” to commit crimes, as opening statements in a long-delayed racketeering case got underway. Controversy and hiccups have dogged the sprawling trial alleging criminal conspiracy since jury selection began in January, notably over the state’s presentation of rap lyrics as evidence. The US state of Georgia holds that Young Thug’s record label, YSL, is a front for a crime ring, arguing that the defendants belong to a branch of the Bloods street gang identified as Young Slime Life, or YSL. “The evidence will show that YSL checks all of the boxes for being a criminal street gang,” said Fulton County prosecutor Adriane Love as she delivered the government’s statement, which she began by quoting Rudyard Kipling’s “Law of the Jungle.” Love addressed the issue of songwriting head on: “We didn’t chase the lyrics to solve the murder, we chased the murder and found the lyrics...
